Wiroa Station Wine Cellar By Map Architects

The residents of a living community on a beach in New Zealand have the luxury of utilizing the open air wine room at the Wiroa Station designed by MAP Architects. The design of the wine tasting room takes a minimalist approach as it consists of mostly untreated concrete walls and floor with wood finished accents. A long table provides spaces for the wine and a built concrete wall is home to the assortment of bottles. The wall facing the ocean is left completely open, allowing visitors to experience the full effect of the environment.
